Problem Description
|
We have discovered that BackupEdge is not creating
its index database in /usr/lib/edge/database, although it is flagged to
do so in edge.nightly.
|
Cause
|
The reason for the software not to save the data base would be the locate threshold is set to a value of 0 or lower (-1).
|
Solution
|
Either run the program /usr/lib/edge/bin/edge.resmgr for your default
backup device and select the Manual Check portion of the program to
set the Locate Threshold, or run edge.checkffr to do it manually.
The command line would be:
/usr/lib/edge/bin/edge.checkffr -b 64 -k 32768 -f /dev/{your tape device}
