My retention time is set for 7 days, but archives that old aren't deleted from my NAS. Why isn't BackupEDGE deleting?

Cause
|
|
Altough the retention time has been met or exceeded, the backup will not be reclaimed until the quota size also has been reached. This is described as Lazy Reclamation in our User's Guide.

Solution
|
|
This can be remedied by lowering your quota size for your URL resource so that more than 7 days cannot be kept. Of course, you can keep older archives for as long as necessary until the space is needed through relcamation.
