Problem Description
|
When installing BackupEDGE, it hangs during the
installation process.
|
Cause
|
BackupEDGE may be hanging while trying to autodetect
your printers. This can happen with some network printers.
|
Solution
|
Start the installation, and get to the point where it freezes. Then,
log in again and run:
ps -efa |grep lpstat
to get the process ID of the lpstat command. If there is a running
lpstat command, kill it with:
kill PID # replace PID with the ID found above in the ps -efa
then see if the installation has continued.
