Problem Description
After performing a boot recovery using RecoverEDGE on my SCO 5.0.7, the License Manager under SCO 5.0.7 shows that no licenses are valid.
Cause
This is a known problem with the License Manager in
SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 that affects disaster recovery.
This will effect either a new or erased hard disk.
Solution
SCO has issued a patch to remedy this problem. The patch is listed as
OSS-656B.
It is recommended that this patch be downloaded and applied immediately to those SCO 5.0.7 servers that are currently running, prior to performing a boot recovery. This patch may be found at URL:ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/oss656b/.
After this patch is installed, the next Master Backup that is performed will be fully compatible with disaster recovery. NO previous backups will be valid for this purpose. It is not necessary to re-create your RecoverEDGE media.

Notes
BackupEDGE 01.02.04 build 1 or later is required for SCO OpenServer 5.0.7. NO earlier release will function properly. If you have other systems upgraded to 5.0.7, you must either upgrade to 01.02.04 build 1 or reinstall BackupEDGE after installing OSS-656B.
