How do I set up an IOMEGA REV Drive under SCO 5.0.6 or 5.0.7?

Cause
|
|
BackupEDGE doesn't see the device as writable.
|
|
Solution
|
|
BackupEDGE has to identify the device by the device nodes. To allow BackupEDGE to properly identify the device, you must run the SCO utility mkdev cdrom to build the device nodes properly. Once yo've completed this process and re-booted your server, run edgmenu and remove any cdrom devices under Admin->Define Resources. Once this is done, select Auto-Detect New Resources under Admin. Make sure you have media in the drives when doing so.
In addition it is required to have MP-1 and the updated WD driver from SCO.
